Amongst the lively crowd on the opening night
of Tall Tales were a great number of old friends, many of whom I
hadn’t seen in far too long. But we forgot to get the camera out until just
before the gallery lights went out and the doors were locked. A handful of loyal, patient souls (not all of them shown here) stuck it out until the very end. It was great to catch up properly with most of them afterwards at that marvellous time-honoured Melbourne institution, the Waiter’s
Restaurant.
If the quality of the snapshot above isn’t as good as it could be it’s because Tim Gresham, who usually photographs my artwork, didn’t take it - he’s in it. Pictured from left: Julia Boros, me, Tim Gresham and Gaye Britt.
